The song not only topped South Korea’s music-streaming sites, but ranked No. 1 on iTunes charts in 40 countries. Jennie also became the first female K-pop solo artist to make it to the top spot on the iTunes Worldwide Song Chart.

YouTube views of the music video surpassed 10 million within 15 hours of its release. The figure topped 50 million in four days and 14 hours, a record for a solo female K-pop singer.

YG Entertainment released two dance videos for the song, one on Friday and one on Saturday, both of which were well received by fans.

Starting Saturday, Jennie will perform “Solo” live on major TV stations. The TV appearances were previously scheduled for Nov. 16-17, and the dance videos were released in an effort to make up for the delay.
