Hyoyeon, often referred to as the Girls’ Generation’s best dancer, debuted solo in a genre completely different from what she had been accustomed to: electronic dance music.

She made a smooth transition from singer to DJ in April with her first EDM single “Sober,” featuring Ummet Ozcan. Hyoyeon, or DJ Hyo, topped iTunes singles charts in 11 locales, including the Philippines, Singapore, Vietnam and Thailand.

American DJ and EDM producer 3LAU worked jointly with her for the DJ’s second EDM single “Punk Right Now,” which was released Monday in both Korean and English.

Hyoyeon on Wednesday uploaded a short instructional clip where she demonstrates key moves in easy-to-follow steps for her choreography. The choreography lesson took place outdoors on the set for her music video shoot.
