BTS recently became the first band to occupy the top spot on Billboard’s Social 50 chart for 100 weeks total. Only one artist, Justin Bieber, has spent more time at No. 1 since the chart’s inception in December 2010.

The septet already held the record for the greatest number of consecutive weeks at the top of the chart, having attained it in the last week of July 2017.

BTS became the second Korean act to land atop the chart in October 2016, after Psy in September 2012.

The Social 50, a popularity chart that ranks musicians on the basis of their social media presence, is considered a measure of an artist’s online following and influence.

BTS is currently on the Japanese leg of its world concert tour, “Love Yourself,” with stops in Tokyo, Osaka, Nagoya and Fukuoka.
