Hwang Chi-yeol is returning with another emotional ballad next week.

How Entertainment said Tuesday that the balladeer will release the single “You Are Stuck in Me” (working title) on Nov. 22, about seven months after promoting his second EP “Be Myself” in April.

The upcoming track will be in line with his previous heart-stirring ballads that emphasize his soulful vocals, according to the agency.

Following his debut in 2007 with the full-length album “Five Sense,” the 35-year-old singer had lingered in obscurity for nearly a decade. He appeared on various TV and radio shows for a year after his debut, but disappeared from the stage when his previous management agency closed due to financial difficulties.

Hwang saw a reversal of fortunes in 2016 when China’s Hunan TV invited him to participate in the fourth season of “I Am a Singer,” a Chinese adaptation of the popular South Korean singing competition program. Having snatched the No. 1 spot for two seasons of the Chinese program, Hwang became a sensation across the country and earned the title “Man of the Continent.”

Having released hits like “A Daily Song,” “The Only Star” and “Rewind,” Hwang is set to hold year-end concerts titled “Janus” in Seoul from Dec. 29-30.
