Do Kyung-soo of EXO has landed a lead role in the dance film “Swing Kids,” after successfully wrapping up his role as the prince of the Joseon era in the tvN series “My Dear Husband of 100 Days.”

The EXO star goes by D.O. on stage and by Do Kyung-soo on the small and big screens.

Set on a small island of Geoje located along the northern coast, the film revolves around a tap dance crew, “Swing Kids.” Do will play Roh Ki-soo, a rebellious prisoner at a concentration camp on the island.

“Tap dance is a genre that is completely different from the kind of dance I’m accustomed to,” Do said at a press conference Monday morning.

Do is also simultaneously handling music activities with EXO, which released the five-track EP “Don’t Mess Up My Tempo” on Nov. 2.

“Swing Kids” will hit local theaters on Dec. 19.
