On Sunday’s episode of the popular music show, Lee performed “Star” by Heize. After performing, Lee received rave reviews from the judges of the show.

One of the judges said, “Joker’s voice was so amazing that I jumped up. There is no haste to express emotion. When I heard this song, time seemed to go slowly.”

However, the winner was Lee’s opponent “Gramophone.” When he took off his mask “Joker” revealed himself as Lee Dae-hwi of Wanna One, as many expected.

“Thanks to my being a member of Wanna One, someone might have considered me as a good singer, but some people had prejudices about me. I wanted to break them,” said Lee.

Lee, who debuted in 2017 through Mnet’s audition program “Produce 101” in 2017, is just 18 years old, but he has a talent for music, including writing songs and lyrics.

“Some of my fans know my voice well, but the public doesn’t know my voice yet. I want to show I’m not just an ‘idol,’ a ‘singer.’ I really wanted to stand on stage as a solo artist, finally I did it through this show.”

Wanna One’s final album, “1¹¹=1(Power of Destiny)’” is slated for release on Nov. 19. The group is a project band, and is scheduled to disband on Dec. 31.
