EXO made a grand return after 16 months of hiatus with “Don’t Mess Up My Tempo” on Friday.

The boy band’s latest album bears an extra significance for the fans as it is the band’s first full-member effort in a while. EXO’s only Chinese member Lay has joined to complete the nine-member team, marking his first involvement since 2016’s “For Life.”

When EXO showcased four of the eleven new tracks in Incheon Saturday, the show was broadcast live on Naver’s video streaming platform V Live to accommodate fans who couldn’t make it to the event.

The live broadcast of EXO’s showcase performance earned 1.9 billion likes (and counting) from the viewers as of Sunday morning, which is less than half a day since its airing.

That V Live feat far exceeds that of most K-pop groups, and EXO’s recent broadcast titled “EXO Comeback Showcase ‘Tempo’” quickly soared to No. 1 on V Live’s monthly most-viewed chart, a spot previously held by Jimin of BTS with his birthday live broadcast.
