For many people, turning 30 is an exciting, if anxiety-inducing, milestone.

Some people freak about hitting their third decade of life, fearing they’ll lose their youthful looks and wrinkle-free skin. But it’s also an age when they can really bloom, becoming more responsible for their lives and forging their own life paths.

And here are a few actresses on the cusp of turning 30 (Korean age), still thirsty and thriving.

1. Park Shin-hye

Those who have known her since childhood will probably gasp when they read this, wondering how so much time could have flown by so fast.

Park debuted at the age of 13 in 2003, appearing in veteran singer Lee Seung-hwan’s music video for the song “Flower.” She made her TV debut the same year in “Stairway to Heaven,” playing Jung-suh, Choi Ji-woo’s character, in the scenes where she appears as a child.

Having starred in many popular drama series such as “You’re Beautiful,” “The Heirs” and “Pinocchio,” Park is set to play lead in the upcoming drama “Memories of the Alhambra” alongside actor Hyun Bin.

2. Park Bo-young

This ultimate baby-faced actress definitely defies time.

Since her debut in 2006, Park’s name has been a synonym for “lovely,” thanks to her ageless girl-next-door appearance, which also led to her starring in several romance films and dramas such as “A Werewolf Boy” and “Oh My Ghost.”

She was also branded the “most hirable face” among female celebrities, according to a recent online poll, for her “smiley face” and “polite image.”

3. Shin Se-kyung

Shin, who also started as a child actress, had a breakthrough in 2009 with the sitcom “High Kick Through the Roof.”

She was seen as “looking old for her age” at the time, but Shin is now one of the country’s most prominent actresses and has built an impressive career.

She has starred in dramas like “Deep Rooted Tree,” “When a Man Falls in Love” and “The Bride of Habaek.”

The actress also starred in “Black Night,” which ended in February.

4. Ha Yeon-soo

Actress Ha Yeon-soo has a priceless smile and an adorable vibe.

Well known for her resemblance to Pokemon’s turtle character Squirtle, she looks like a university student in her early 20s -- especially those innocent-looking doe eyes. But Ha is also known for her mature mindset and personality.

Ha has starred in drama series “Legendary Witches” and “Rich Man,” as well as films “Very Ordinary Couple” and “Your Name Is Rose.”

5. Kim Tae-ri

The “Mr. Sunshine” star is a chameleon when it comes to acting. After rising to stardom with her breakout flick “The Handmaiden,” Kim has been on a never-ending winning streak with “1987: When the Day Comes,” a political thriller, and “Little Forest.”

Whether she plays a lowly maid or a noblewoman from the Joseon era, Kim shines in every role she takes on.
