Zion.T was one of the stars to shine brightest at this year’s One Asia Festival, held in the southeastern coastal city of Busan.

The rhythm and blues singer-songwriter, who has been a regular chart-topper in the Korean music scene, has been lauded for his recent collaboration with Seulgi of Red Velvet.

The collaboration came as a surprise to many, as the two belong in completely different genres, but it has been a pleasant surprise.

Zion.T, a self-proclaimed Red Velvet fan, described the collaborative track titled “Hello Tutorial” as “a well-made romantic comedy.”

Explaining his decision behind working with Seulgi on the lead track, Zion.T said he “just thought her vocals would really suit the song.”

Zion.T, who was lined up as the last performer of the concert, showed up solo onstage.

Performing his latest song without Seulgi, he asked for the audience’s help to fill in for her.

“You must help me sing Seulgi’s part,” he pleaded with the crowd in Busan, making for a memorable show.
