[V Report Plus] IZ*ONE: The next big success story for ‘Produce 101’?
(Stone Music Entertainment) |
“Produce 101” kicked off in 2016 as a “survival” audition show, where viewers could choose their favorites from a pool of 101 aspiring young K-pop stars. Eleven winners were chosen through a vote and went on to form a group.
The first group that “Produce 101” gave Korea was I.O.I, which ran for a year. The band members split up to form their own bands, with one -- Chungha -- pursuing a solo career.
