Yongseok from the boy band Cross Gene let his hair down and pulled silly facial expressions in his solo livestream on V Live on Wednesday.

The singer, who sounded slightly nervous at first, soon gained confidence as over 200 viewers tuned in.

Sounding cheerful, Yongseok said “hi” to viewers in multiple languages including Korean, English and Japanese.

Appearing in the kitchen, he said it had been a while since he’d last appeared solo on V Live as fans jokingly said they’d almost forgotten what he looked like.

When asked about another member -- Shin Won-ho, whose birthday was Tuesday -- Yongseok said he’d sent Shin a KakaoTalk message for his birthday with an online gift card and that Shin was busy doing a musical.

Minnie of G)I-DLE sounded excited as she celebrated her birthday with a 43-minute video on Tuesday.

The singer appeared in a pair of birthday sunglasses as fans wrote in the chat room, “Happy Minnie Day.”

Minnie was soon joined by another member of the group Yu Qi, who showed up with a bunch of shopping bags containing birthday gifts from other members.

During the broadcast, the two opened one of the gifts, a fashionable pink hat. Minnie wore it during the livestream, drawing compliments from the viewers.

But Minnie didn’t read the birthday card because she said she wanted to read it in private. The two discussed a number of topics after that, including cute phone cases and their friendship.

Yu Qi kissed Minnie on the cheek in a show of gratitude for her sisterly love.

Duo MXM appeared on Idol Radio on V Live on Tuesday. The fun-packed episode began as the two and presenter Jung Il-hoon from another boy band, BtoB, took turns introducing themselves. Jung described himself as cute and sassy, while Kim Dong-hyun said he was a good songwriter and Im Young-min called himself an Alpaca.

The upbeat panel discussed a wide range of topics, including new music.

Kim let the viewers in on a surprise secret -- that a song called “Serenade,” which he’d written for fans and performed only at his recent solo concert, might get an online release.

In between talk segments, the duo powered through tightly choreographed dance moves during the program’s “medley dance” segment, as fans at the studio cheered on.

When presenter Jung quizzed the duo over their friendship, the two seemed in sync as they both answered in unison that they were even willing to lend each other money.
