1. Red Velvet’s Wendy, “Written in the Stars”

Red Velvet’s Wendy has collaborated with John Legend for the label’s digital music project “STATION X 0.”

S.M. Entertainment released a photo of Wendy and Legend together on its official Twitter on Thursday, creating buzz and anticipation for the effort, titled “Written in the Stars.”

Wendy flew to Los Angeles in September to record the song. Of her collaboration with Legend, she told Vogue she “couldn’t believe (she) would be working with an artist that (she) had always listened to growing up.”

The song is slated for release Friday at 6 p.m. on streaming sites including Naver Music, Genie, Melon and Apple Music.

2. EXO’s Lay, “NAMANANA”

Lay of EXO announced on Sept. 20 that he is gearing up for the release of his solo album next month.

As the mega popular boy band’s only Chinese member, he said the album will include both English and Chinese versions of the eleven songs, totaling twenty-two tracks.

“I’ve put a lot of work into making this album happen and I’m so thrilled to share it in the US,” said Lay in a statement. S.M. Entertainment said that his upcoming album will be an opportunity for Mandarin pop music to expand its reach to the global market.

3. BoA, “Woman”

One of S.M. Entertainment’s first female soloists, BoA is releasing her ninth album next week, which will include four tracks she has written by herself.
The artist notably penned the lyrics to lead track “Woman.”

BoA commented on her return to the music scene Friday morning via social media with a photo of herself and a short caption reading, “When is the teaser going to be released? I can’t wait to show it to you guys.”

The new song will be released on streaming sites including Melon, Genie, iTunes, Apple Music and Spotify.
