About four months after promoting his first single “Sunset,” Kim Dong-han, formerly a member of now-disbanded project boy group JBJ, returned with his second EP “D-Night.”

The five-track album is led by lead track “Good Night Kiss,” a rhythmic dance track that blends future base synths and retro sound. The song, which talks about the lingering feeling of a “first good night kiss,” takes a sharp turn toward the singer’s mature side.

“If ‘Sunset’ depicted sexiness of daytime, ‘Good Night Kiss’ is sexiness of cold night. It also features melodies more dynamic than ‘Sunset.’ Its choreography was one of the most powerful ones I’ve ever done during my career,” said Kim during a media showcase for his new album in Seoul on Wednesday. His eye-catching hair, dyed a fiery orange reminiscent of fallen leaves, seemed to maximize his energetic vibe.

Kim said he helped write and composing four songs on the album, including the lead track.

Kim debuted as a member of JBJ, which consisted of six singers who participated in season two of “Produce 101,” in October last year. After the group disbanded in April, Kim debuted solo with his first EP “D-Day” in June.

After a rollercoaster ride of a year, Kim recalled his most memorable moments with his ex-bandmates.

“I feel happy having worked hard for the past one year. The happiest moment was when JBJ held its first solo concert, while the saddest time was our last concert,” he said. He also shared that Thursday marked JBJ’s one year anniversary.

The album also includes “Born,” “Call My Name,” “Tipsy” and “Still.”
