Singer HyunA sounded defiant during a recent Instagram livestream after leaving Cube Entertainment as she told fans not to worry about her.

“My fans worry about me a lot but you don’t have to,” the singer said Tuesday in her first social media appearance after the controversial departure from the agency.

The singer said she was going to dine out with her parents and told fans to wear warm clothes like her as the weather in Korea has been chilly.

“I’ll do live streams like this from time to time. I’m off to have a meal now,” the singer said before ending the livestream.

On Monday, Cube Entertainment said HyunA officially parted ways with the company in a statement.

The final decision this week came after the agency did a U-turn on their initial decision to expel both HyunA and E’dawn, a member of the group Pentagon, in the wake of the revelation of their relationship.

In a handwritten note obtained by Hyundae News on Monday, HyunA wrote “I have done nothing wrong but to have worked hard beyond my limit over the last some 10 years that made Cube Entertainment as it is today.”

“I don’t know what I did wrong but all the schedules were canceled since early August and I read an article about my expulsion on Sept. 13,” the singer wrote in the letter she sent to the company before the two decided to cut ties.

HyunA’s father told Hyundae News that the two parties ended their relations on good terms.

Cube Entertainment has yet to decide on the fate of HyunA’s boyfriend E’dawn.
