Jinyoung of GOT7 is reportedly considering a lead role in an upcoming tvN drama.

Representing the act, JYP Entertainment confirmed Friday that Jinyoung has been offered a lead role in “That Psychometric Guy” (working title), which is set to air early next year.

The fantasy romantic thriller centers on a man named Ian who has a special ability to find out secrets by touching people, and a girl who does everything to hide her pain. The drama will unfold as the two encounter each other, grow up together and solve problems.

“That Psychometric Guy” will be scripted by Yang Jin-ah, who worked on the dramas “Chosun Police” and “Vampire Prosecutor,” and producing director Kim Byung-soo, the mastermind behind “Queen In Hyun’s Man,” “Nine,” and “Bubblegum.”

If Jinyoung takes up the role, it will be his first time playing a lead role in a TV drama.

The GOT7 vocalist made his acting debut with “Dream High 2” in 2012. He has since appeared on dramas such as “When a Man Loves,” “My Love Eun Dong” and “The Legend of the Blue Sea.”
