Solji of EXID will appear on the MBC audition program “Under Nineteen” as a vocal director, following her recent return to the K-pop scene after being on hiatus due to health issues.

According to “Under Nineteen” on Wednesday, Solji was chosen for the role because of her powerful vocal abilities.

“The fact that I’ll get the opportunity to tutor those who dream of becoming singers is really overwhelming,” said Solji. “Working with other directors is also something that I am greatly looking forward to.”

Other well-known artists including Crush in the vocal section, Dynamic Duo in the rap section and Super Junior’s Eun Hyuck in the performance section will tutor participants of the program to create the strongest idol group.

“Under Nineteen” is an audition program for teenagers only. The survivors of each section -- vocals, rap and performance -- will form a K-pop idol group. The show’s 57 participants have reportedly shot their profile photos, and the show will air in November.
