Sunny of Girls’ Generation brought up the topic of her health in an Instagram post on Tuesday, reassuring concerned fans that she’s on the road to recovery after her departure from a variety show due to a knee problem.

The singer’s message started on a positive note: “I’m doing well.”

It was accompanied by a selfie in which Sunny shows off her bright smile.

“For a while, I pushed myself to the limit, doing more than what my body can stand, thinking that’s the way to return the love my fans gave me,” said the singer. “Then I recently realized that I should be caring for myself better so I can present an energetic Sunny and give positive energy to my fans. I’m getting much better now.”

Sunny quit her emcee role on the MBC Every 1 talk show “Video Star” on Sept. 20. The singer had co-hosted the program with Park So-hyun, Kim Sook and Park Na-rae since joining the cast in April.
