Singer-songwriter Roy Kim’s new single “The Hardest Part” has landed atop online singles charts.

The slow number topped the daily singles charts of multiple streaming services in Korea including Melon, Mnet, Bugs and Soribada soon after the song was released Tuesday night.

On Bugs’ chart, “The Hardest Part” has overtaken the likes of “Siren” by Sunmi and “Remember Me” by Oh My Girl, as of Thursday.

Kim said he drew inspiration from Irish singer-songwriter Damien Rice when he wrote the breakup song.

The single appears to be reliving the success of his previous single “Only Then” released in February, once again proving his strong performance with online downloads.

The singer is set to perform at the Grand Mint Festival 2018 on Oct. 20 and 21 at Olympic Park in Seoul.
