Weki Meki will return to the K-pop scene in October, ending a seven-month hiatus.

The act’s agency Fantagio Music confirmed Thursday that the group would release a record in October, without revealing whether it would be a full-length album or an EP.

The upcoming record will mark the group’s first release since its second EP, “Lucky,” in February, which featured the lead track “La La La.”

After debuting with the EP “Weme” in August 2017, Weki Meki has risen to become one of the most notable K-pop girl groups, with its bubblegum sound. It includes Kim Do-yeon and Choi Yoo-jung, two former members of now-defunct project group I.O.I.
