Actress Han Ye-seul is set to launch a fashion brand in November.

The name, “Fondement,” is a French word meaning foundation or base. The brand will feature styles that are practical and do not represent a significant departure from the basics, yet are trendy and chic at the same time.

Han will be the creative director of Fondement, according to her agency, Partners Park.

Han has reportedly taken part in every step in launching the brand -- from the choice of name to the materials, sizes and designs for its clothing. A style icon in Korea, Han is known for matching simple outfits with bold accessories. When coming up with new designs for Fondement, she kept in mind all the compliments she’d received and incorporated her own neat, trendy style into the brand.

The first collection will feature a “Daily-athleisure” look -- everyday outfits and sportswear designed for modern people. Unlike other shops, Fondement will periodically release new stock in limited amounts, rather than releasing all its stock at once.
