Red Velvet’s ‘Peek-A-Boo,’ ‘Red Flavor’ hit 100m views on YouTube

Red Velvet on Monday added two music videos to its collection of videos with 100 million views on YouTube.

According to S.M. Entertainment, the K-pop group’s music video for “Peek-A-Boo” hit 100 million views on Monday at 1 a.m., followed by “Red Flavor,” which topped 100 million views at 11 p.m. on the same day.

“Red Flavor” was released in July 2017 as the lead track of the summer EP “The Red Summer.” The track turned out to be a megahit on South Korea’s major music charts. It also gained traction on Billboard’s World Album chart.

“Peek-A-Boo,” which is the lead track of “Perfect Velvet,” also proved Red Velvet’s popularity, as the EP held the No. 1 spot on multiple online music charts.

The five-piece act now has five music videos with 100 million-plus YouTube views: “Russian Roulette,” “Dumb Dumb,” “Bad Boy,” “Peek-A-Boo” and “Red Flavor”

Red Velvet recently wrapped up promotional activities for its latest album, “Summer Magic.” The group currently stars in the reality program “Level Up Project Season 3,” with episodes featuring its trip to Slovenia, on the video platform Oksusu.
