Amoeba Culture said Tuesday that police had questioned Ha:tfelt in connection with a fraud case involving her father.

On Monday, local media reported that Ha:tfelt had been sued in March over allegations that she had taken part in fraudulent activities orchestrated by her pastor father.

Amoeba Culture said, “It is true that the singer was investigated by the police at one time, but she is not involved in the incident. She cooperated faithfully with the police investigation to prove her innocence. We also apologize for the controversy.”

Ha:tfelt debuted in 2007 as a member of the K-pop girl group Wonder Girls, using the moniker Yeeun. She made her solo debut in 2014 under the stage name Ha:tfelt with her first solo EP, “Me?”

Following Wonder Girls’ disbandment in January last year, the singer moved from JYP Entertainment to Amoeba Culture, becoming the first female solo artist to be represented by the label in 11 years.
