Singer Kim Dong-ryul will release his new single, “Song” (literal translation), on Tuesday night.

The single is an extension of his latest EP “Reply.” It was originally slated to be the last track of the EP.

With the aid of the London Symphony Orchestra and the skillful arrangement of producers Hwang Seong-jae and Jung Soo-min, the single will take listeners on a trip down memory lane with lyrics reminiscing the past.

“Song” revolves around people who have become emotionally numb as they grow up in the face of the gritty realities of life.

It starts off quiet, builds up and calms down again toward the end, creating a wave of emotions.

When the singer-songwriter released his previous single “I Have To” in March, he hinted at releasing a digital single.

“I will present each song for the right season almost as a gift,” the singer said.

Kim returned to the music scene in January after a nearly three-year hiatus.
