“April Fools (0401)” by Park Ji-min of JYP female duo 15& has reached the top 10 of iTunes album charts in Latin American and Southeast Asian countries, proving her popularity as a global K-pop star and her potential as a solo artist.

The lead track “April Fools (0401)”from Park’s solo album reached the top 10 album charts of iTunes in the Dominican Republic, Malaysia, Thailand, Singapore, Colombia, Indonesia and Taiwan.

Park released her second solo album “jiminxjamie” on Tuesday after a two-year hiatus. The rhythm and blues album consists of five tracks. She participated in composing and writing lyrics for three songs, including the lead track.

Fans were surprised to see Park dancing to the lead track, as most of her stage performances have not included dance choreography.

Park won the first season of “Survival Audition K-pop Star” in 2012. She debuted in the same year with 15& under JYP Entertainment.
