BTS was awarded not one but three awards at 2018 Soribada Best K-Music Awards, also known as the SOBA Awards, on Aug. 30, taking the grand prize two years in a row.

The annual music awards ceremony was held at the Olympic Gymnastics Arena in Seoul’s southern district of Songpa, which holds a special significance for the band.

“We dreamt of holding our concert here before we retired,” said RM. “And then you made it a reality three years ago with our solo concert.”

RM’s speech was followed by the rest of his bandmates fighting for the microphone to shout out, “we love you, ‘ARMY,’” the nickname of their fans.
