Twice’s ‘Dance the Night Away’ hits 100m views

The megahit girl group Twice is holding onto its record, with the video for “Dance The Night Away” topping 100 million views on YouTube as of Friday.

The video hit the milestone 61 days after the song’s release. Twice is the first K-pop group to have every one of its videos released since its debut to get over 100 million views. The others include “TT,” which got more than 390 million and “Likey,” which got more than 296 million.

“Dance the Night Away” dominated the major digital music platform soon after its release and continues to rank high even after two months.

Twice is preparing for the release of its first Japanese album along with the title song, “BDZ,” Sept. 12. The nine-member band will then kick off its “Twice 1st Arena Tour 2018 BDZ,” which will involve staging nine concerts in four Japanese cities.
