A Korean zombie flick will open in 19 countries on four continents starting in late October, the movie's overseas sales company said Monday.

"Rampant" will get theatrical release in Taiwan, the Philippines, Germany, Britain, Vietnam, Singapore, Australia, New Zealand, the United States and Canada within two weeks after its premiere in South Korea, said Contents Panda, which is in charge of the film's overseas sales.

The film, starring Hyunbin of "Confidential Assignment" (2016) and veteran actor Jang Dong-gun, depicts a Joseon prince and swordsman's struggle to save his people from ghosts that are active only at night. It was directed by Kim Sung-hoon of "Confidential Assignment."

"It not uncommon for Korean movies to open in 19 countries on four continents during the same period. It's an achievement comparable to that of 'Train to Busan,'" an official with Contents Panda said. "The flick is going to smash theaters of each country in the Halloween season." (Yonhap)
