Actress Park Hae-mee skipped a press conference Tuesday after her husband caused a deadly car accident that left two people dead and three people, including himself, injured.

Park’s husband Hwang Min, who is also an actor, drove under the influence before crashing into a 25-ton truck Monday night, leaving the actress in distress and prompting her to cancel public appearances.

Park Young-seok, producer of the musical “Oh! Carol,” said during Tuesday‘s press conference that Park had said she could not attend the event the night before and whether or not she will perform, as well as her schedule, is now up in the air.

The producer added that a different actress would most likely take Park’s spot for Wednesday’s show.

Park, who is reportedly in serious distress, told local media she is “deeply sorry” and “heartbroken” over the two actors who died in the car crash caused by her husband.

Since the show opened on Aug. 16 Park has played the role of Esther, a former star and holiday resort owner on the show. “Oh! Carol” is a South Korean adaptation of “Breaking Up Is Hard to Do,” a jukebox musical based on American pop singer Neil Sedaka’s songs.
