“Along with the Gods: The Last 49 Days” is proving to be a huge success across Asia, breaking box office records.

The film, which has been watched by over 11 million people in just 18 days in Korea, became the fast-grossing Korean film to date in Taiwan, earning 300 million Taiwanese dollars ($9.8 million) in just 10 days.

Hong Kongers have also given the film a warm reception, as it grossed $5 million in just 10 days, following in the footsteps of the major hits like “Train to Busan” and the first series of the franchise “Along with the Gods: The Two Worlds.”

With the second series just $2 million apart in box office gross, film fans are keen to see whether the second series could break the records set by its predecessor.

“Along with the Gods: The Last 49 Days” is set to continue screening in Asia for some time, as the film is scheduled to open in Singapore, Malaysia, the Philippines and other countries.

The “Along with the Gods” films are the only film franchise in South Korea to have two series that passed the 10 million viewer threshold.
