Red Velvet dominates brand reputation ranking in August

Red Velvet dominated August’s brand reputation ranking among female idol groups, with all five members in the top 10.

Seulgi from Red Velvet topped the latest Brand Reputation Report for girl groups, as Irene also ranked at No. 4 while Wendy, Yeri, Joy came sixth, seventh, and eight, respectively.

Seulgi was associated with words like “pretty” and “cute,” according to big data analytics, with the main related keywords being “abs,” and “Power Up,” the latter of which refers to the title of Red Velvet’s new single.

The data comes after researchers at the Korea Institute of Corporate Reputation had a look at big data related to 380 members of female idol groups in terms of consumer participation, media coverage, communication and community awareness.

Jennie from Black Pink, who topped July’s ranking, came second while boasting the highest consumer participation index.

Hwasa from Mamamoo came third, faring well in both the consumer participation and media coverage indexes.
