August has been a nightmare for Cube Entertainment as the agency faces criticism that it has mishandled dating rumors swirling around a number of its celebrities.

From HyunA of Triple H to BtoB and Pentagon, K-pop fans saw new dating rumors emerge over the last few weeks at unprecedentedly short intervals.

Here are some of the dating rumors from August alone.

HyunA and E’Dawn (Triple H)

Singer HyunA shocked fans on Instagram earlier this month by confirming her relationship with E’Dawn. It turned out that the two Triple H members had been dating for over two years.

Cube Entertainment, the agency for both singers, denied the rumor at first, but HyunA eventually came clean about her relationship, saying that she “just really want(ed) to be honest” with her fans.

The agency canceled all of Triple H’s album promotions a day after the announcement, and its decision was met with criticism and disappointment from the group.

Sung-Jae from BtoB

Reports this week alleged that BtoB’s Sung-jae had been dating Jueun from the girl group DIA since January. Local media reported that the two K-pop idols had met through mutual acquaintances.

Cube Entertainment confirmed that Sung-jae and Jueun had met, but denied that they had ever dated.

Hui and Soojin (Pentagon, (G)I-DLE)

Pictures of Hui from Triple H and Soojin, a member of Cube Entertainment’s new girl group (G)I-DLE, surfaced on the internet earlier this month, fueling speculation that the two are secretly dating.

However, the agency told the press that the K-pop stars were no longer in a relationship.

Yuto and Yeeun (Pentagon, CLC)

Yuto, a Japanese member of the boy band Pentagon, and Yeeun from CLC appeared to be on a date together in a picture that circulated on social media around the same time that dating rumors began to swirl around Hui and Soojin.

Yuto became the third member of the 10-strong group to be embroiled in a dating rumor in August, which has proven to be one of the most challenging months ever for Cube Entertainment.
