Rapper Zico’s new single “SoulMate” has topped the singles chart of “Inkigayo” this week, leaving behind the likes of Mamamoo and iKON.

The brass-heavy rhythm and blues song, packed with trumpet, saxophone and trombone sounds, features singer IU and presents an organic acoustic vibe, which has been well received by fans.

Zico was not scheduled to appear on the show, however, prompting actor and host Song Kang to say the trophy would be sent to the singer.

The single has dominated a number of online music charts since its release last month, including Bugs, Genie Music, Melon and Mnet.

During Sunday’s episode, Red Velvet also performed “Power Up” and “With You,” two tracks from new mini album “Summer Magic.”
DIA also performed the new song “Woo Woo” in its first “Inkigayo” appearance in 10 months.

Other acts including Stray Kids and iKON delivered powerful performances, wowing fans both in the studio and at home.
