Not long after controversy broke over G-Dragon’s alleged special treatment at a military hospital, it has been reported that the Big Bang frontman has had another hospital stay

On Wednesday, local media reported the musician was hospitalized for 15 days at the Armed Forces Hospital in Pocheon, Gyeonggi Province, from July 12-27 to receive treatment for an ankle injury.

The report also noted he has spent almost half of his time in the Army so far, 51 days, either in a hospital or on leave due to the ankle injury.

Last month, G-Dragon was embroiled in controversy after media reported the artist had been hospitalized in a one-bed room, classified as a “colonel hospital room,” at the Army Hospital in Yangju, Gyeonggi Province, since June 19, instead of an appropriate multi-bed room.

His agency YG Entertainment had refuted the allegations, saying the singer had followed normal procedures.

G-Dragon reportedly injured his right ankle prior to entering the Army and received surgery in a private hospital in Seoul in May.

He was reported to have returned to the military base after being discharged from the hospital on July 1.

His agency hasn’t released an official statement concerning the Wednesday report.

G-Dragon enlisted on Feb. 27 as an active soldier in Cheorwon, Gangwon Province. He is due to be discharged Nov. 26, 2019.
