Seungri of Big Bang revealed that he would enlist in the military early next year.

“I plan to join the Army early next year, as I’m the one who is waiting for the day all five Big Bang members can reunite onstage,” he said during a press conference for his first solo full-length album “The Great Seungri” in Seoul on Friday.

“I don’t want Big Bang’s hiatus to get any longer. I wish for all of us to gather as soon as we can.”

“The Great Seungri,” led by the lead track “1,2,3!,” contains nine tracks in total, eight of which Seungri participated in writing.

Following the album’s release Friday, Seungri will host his first solo concert series at the Jangchung Gymnasium in central Seoul on Aug. 4 and 5.
