The veteran singer Park Hyo-shin has emerged looking healthy, if slimmer, after a recent selfie sparked concerns among fans that he was ill.

Some other fans speculated that he had undergone plastic surgery after posting a close-up selfie on his instagram.

Park’s agency Glove Entertainment sought to reassure fans by emphasizing “He’s been practicing for a musical and lost weight since the practice is very tight. He is in good health.”

Despite this, the concerns and rumors continued, but it looks like the agency was telling the truth.

As the musical started, pictures of Park with his colleagues appeared on social media, in which the singer looks in good health, although he seems to have lost a lot of weight.

The singer is now playing the role of Gwynplaine, the main character in the musical “The Man Who Laughs,” which is based on Victor Hugo’s 1869 novel of the same name.

The show is performed in Seoul Art Center, Opera Theater, slated for more than a month from July 8-Aug. 26.
