K-pop act D-Crunch will soon make its debut.

The nine-piece boy band has confirmed its official debut slated for Aug. 6, its talent agency All-S Company announced Monday, revealing a silhouette photo of the bandmates.

The band’s name is an abbreviation of Diamond-Crunch -- a bold claim that the group can crush diamonds, the hardest natural material in the world, with its powerful music and performances.

With the bandmates participating in writing the songs and choreography, the debut single will have their fingerprints all over it, the agency said.

D-Crunch’s debut was directed by record executive and producer Lee Jong-suk, who also directed the debut of Girl’s Day.
