Twice’s new single “Dance the Night Away” is finally out, and it’s taking music charts by storm. As soon as the track was released in full at 6 p.m. Monday, it achieved an “all-kill” status, topping main local music charts including Melon, Genie and Mnet.

The tri-national girl group has no shortage of hit tracks under its belt, with every single released since its debut track “Like Ooh-Aah” becoming a smashing success, including “Cheer Up,” “TT,” “Knock Knock,” “Signal,” “Likey,” “Heart Shaker” and “What is Love?”

Veteran producer Wheesung wrote the lyrics to Twice’s upbeat dance pop track, and it is the group’s first summer-themed album. The three Japanese members, Sana, Momo and Mina, co-wrote the lyrics to one of the nine tracks, “Shot thru the Heart.”

Twice is set to have a productive summer, with its first full-length Japanese album titled “BDZ” scheduled for release in September.

Black Pink released a performance video of its most recent hit “Ddu-du Ddu-du,” focusing exclusively on Jennie.

Jennie is the all-rounder of the group, as she has repeatedly proven her strengths as a rapper, singer and dancer.

The performance video focusing on Jennie earned over 2 million likes on Naver’s V app in less than 16 hours of its release.

The four-piece group’s record-breaking track “Ddu-du Ddu-du” achieved an amazing feat by becoming the second-most viewed YouTube music video in 24 hours, surpassed only by Taylor Swift’s “Look What You Made Me Do.”

Jisoo went live on Naver’s V app to thank “Blinks,” as Black Pink fans are called, after the group won first place on major music shows including SBS’s “Inkigayo” and MBC’s “Show! Music Core” for weeks in a row since the release of “Ddu-du Ddu-du” on June 15.

“You guys made this possible,” Jisoo credited her fans for the song’s success. “Without you, none of this would have been possible.”

She had her pet dog Dalgom by her side, which was another “aww-inducing” aspect of the broadcast.
