“Hi all, how are you guys doing?” Shinwoo greeted fans, tuning in on Naver’s V app Saturday in celebration of his birthday. “It’s nighttime so I’m not looking very neat right now,” he apologized ahead of the hour-long livestream.

“My bandmates haven’t given me anything yet,” he said. “So I’m kind of excited to see what I’ll be getting this year.”

The birthday broadcast wasn’t without a candlelit cake and a “Happy Birthday” singalong, of course.

Fifteen minutes into the broadcast, Shinwoo was joined by his bandmates who got him a large cheesecake. “Dude, there are so many candles on this,” Shinwoo said. “That’s just how old you are,” joked the B1A4 members.

Debuted in April 2011, B1A4 has enjoyed a successful musical career in both South Korea and Japan, with many of its songs being awarded at major music awards ceremonies including the Ment Asian Music Awards and Japan Gold Disc Award.

Naver’s real-time broadcasting app V allows fans to interact with their favorite K-pop stars through live broadcasts. The app is available for Android and iOS. For more information, visit http://www.vlive.tv.
