SHINee’s Key confessed there were a lot of conflicts between him and bandmate Minho during their trainee days.

The two SHINee members, who are the same age, appeared on JTBC’s “Ask Us Anything” on Saturday, sharing stories of their fights back in the old days.

“We had fought so many times. There were even some awkward times when we were trainees,” Minho said.

Key filled in, saying that he was often overwhelmed by Minho’s passion and different personality.

“I had thought it was weird for Minho to focus more on ‘Idol Star Athletics Championships’ than music programs. For example, when he did a ceremony for winning the championship but not for winning a music show, I couldn’t understand him.”

The two singers also shared that they fought once when Minho told Key to clean up the practice room.

“I thought Minho, as my friend, had a condescending attitude toward me. After the fight we were awkward for a month,” Key said with laughter.

SHINee recently released “The Story of Light EP.2,” its first album as a quartet following the death of member Jonghyun last year.
