Wanna One’s Kang Daniel proved his influence once again through the 2018 Ice Bucket Challenge.

The rookie star was chosen by EXO’s Chanyeol to take part in the meaningful challenge relay. Ice Bucket Challenge involves pouring a bucket of ice water over a person, raising awareness on amyotrophic lateral sclerosis, better known as Lou Gehrig’s disease.

Through the band’s social media account, Kang revealed a clip of him being soaked in ice water, sharing the fact that he donated 2 million won ($1,850) to a related charity foundation.

“I am happy that I can be of little help. I hope that my participation can support the patients and their families. It would be great if more people can support and pray for the completion of the hospital for Louis Gehrig patients,” the post read.

After the clip was dropped, Kang’s fan club donated 2 million won to the foundation. Its server was down for a while with people lining up to donate.
