‘Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom’: a dino-sized hit in box office

The second installment of the new “Jurassic World” trilogy is headed to become a major hit, with “Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom” taking the No. 1 spot at the local box office for seven straight days.

According to the Korean Film Council, the film sold an accumulated 3.55 million tickets as of Tuesday. The Korean box office ranks films by the number of tickets sold, not revenue.

The film, starring Chris Pratt and Bryce Dallas Howard, deals with the events that occur as a volcano on Isla Nublar -- home of a shutdown dinosaur theme park -- threatens to kill all of the prehistoric creatures living on it.
