Actress Choo Ja-hyun’s agency denied reports that she remains unconscious after going through birth complications.

Earlier on Sunday, one local media outlet reported that the actress has been in a state of unconsciousness for 10 days, relying on a respirator, since she was rushed to the emergency room soon after delivering the baby on June 1.

Choo’s agency BH Entertainment stated Monday, “Choo is currently recovering in a general ward, and she has recovered enough to text her friends. We are also in contact with her.” It also said Choo has never fallen into unconsciousness and that the actress, also aware of the reports on her unconsciousness, plans to assure fans about her health condition, possibly on social media, soon.

Choo, who tied the knot with Chinese actor Yu Xiaoguang in January this year, was sent to the emergency room as she showed signs of spasms right after giving a birth to the couple’s first son.

The actor couple became very popular on SBS‘ reality show “Same Bed, Different Dreams 2 - You Are My Destiny.” The two dropped out of the show in March, citing her pregnancy.
