Actor Park Sung-woong revealed that he gained 10 kilograms for the new OCN drama “Life On Mars” in a live interview held via Naver’s V app Tuesday.

“I gained exactly 10 kilograms,” the actor said in the broadcast. “(To gain weight,) I ate whatever I wanted to eat.”

Still, the actor said the weight gain was the fruit of hard work.

“If I fall asleep at a switch and go to sleep one night skipping dinner I lose a kilogram next morning. It seems I need to keep eating to gain weight,” he said.

“Actually, as I gained weight, my knees became sore and I have shortness of breath,” he added.

In the drama, Park plays an intimidating investigator who goes by the nickname “mad boar.”

The new drama series is set to premiere on Saturday at 10:20 p.m.
