IU did a special duet with child singer Oh Yeon-joon, an 11-year-old boy who caught the world’s attention with his performance at the PyeongChang Winter Olympics in February. He also sang “Spring in My Homeland,” a beloved Korean folk song, in front of the leaders of the two Koreas during the inter-Korean summit in April.

In celebration of its 400th episode, the Saturday episode of the show featured the two singers making a beautiful harmony on “Night Letter,” one of IU’s biggest hits. Ahead of the performance, host You Hee-yeol introduced the stage as “Two of the most pure voices in the world have met.”

Asked which musician he wanted to see most, Oh named IU, while IU also complimented on the young singer’s vocals by saying, “I’m really surprised at his talent. Now I know what it feels like to entertain my ears.”

Hailing from Jeju Island, Oh first became known to public through his appearance in Mnet’s music show “We Kid” in 2016. IU has been pursuing a career as an actress lately, since she released her latest album last September.

KBS2’s “You Hee-yeol’s Sketchbook” is a long-running TV program, a combination of a talk show and a music show, which aired its first episode in 2009.
