Singer Kim Sang-gyun of now disbanded JBJ on Wednesday held his first live broadcast on the V channel and celebrated his 23rd birthday with fans.

“I am holding my first solo V app broadcast today and it’s interesting that my first V app broadcast is at the same time as the broadcast to celebrate my birthday,” he said.

“I don’t really celebrate my birthday but I want to thank you for congratulating me on my birthday,” he said.

In the hourlong broadcast, the singer communicated with his fans while answering their questions.

When asked to leave a video message for himself, he said, “I think you’re living a fun life. So thank you. There will be more great things to come so do well as they come.”

“In the future, I hope you to have all the good luck,” he said.

The singer appeared on the second season of the Mnet audition show “Produce 101” last year. He failed to secure a spot in the final 11-member group, but gained popularity thanks to plenty of exposure during the show, which led to his debut as a member of JBJ.

The group recently disbanded after wrapping up its seven months of promotional activities.

Naver’s real-time broadcasting app V allows fans to interact with their favorite K-pop stars through live broadcasts. The app is available for Android and iOS. For more information, visit http://www.vlive.tv.
