Producer-CEO Bang Si-hyuk of Big Hit Entertainment, the label of K-pop heavyweight BTS, has made it to Billboard’s annual list of international power players.

According to Billboard’s list on Monday, Bang, one of 73 music industry executives on the list, is included in the recording category.

The US magazine mentioned the massive global success of BTS’ albums, highlighting that the act’s “Love Yourself: Her” album, produced by Bang, has sold over 1.6 million copies worldwide, becoming the first album by a K-pop group to reach the top 10 of the Billboard 200.

“The set yielded the single “DNA,” which reached No. 37 on the Digital Song Sales tally. Bang predicts that more South Korean pop acts will hit the charts soon,” Billboard said.

It also quoted Bang as saying, “There is a wealth of local artists to satisfy American music fans.”

Stuart Camp, manager of the world’s top-selling artist Ed Sheeran, topped the list.

BTS took home its second top social artist award at the Billboard Music Awards on Sunday, where it also showcased its smash-hit single “Fake Love.”
