Once Picture Studio, wrongly identified as a suspect in accusations of sexual violence, said it plans to take legal action
against those involved in petitioning the government against it, including singer-actress Suzy.

After YouTube star Yang Ye-won publicly claimed on May 16 that she was sexually harassed in 2015 during what she was told would be a photo shoot, an online petition on Cheong Wa Dae’s website was started the next day, asking for the government to investigate the matter. Suzy endorsed the issue, supporting the case on social media.

However, the studio named in the petition is not related to the incident. A police investigation confirmed that the current owner took over the studio long after the incident.

While Suzy has posted a public apology on social media, the owner is considering legal action against her, the person who started the petition and those who maliciously attacked him online. He says they should not have acted without confirming the “truth.”

“(She) must not have thought about how much damage and pain a celebrity’s influence can have on an ordinary, innocent person,” an online post by the studio’s owner read. “We hope that this incident will be a lesson to all celebrities, for them to learn how much damage a sudden influential act can cause.”
