Singer Hwang Chi-yeul communicated with his fans in a live radio broadcast held via Naver’s V app Sunday.

In the broadcast, the singer thanked his fans for supporting his second mini album “Be Myself” released in April.

“Thank you for sharing every day, every moment with me when I released my second mini album,” he said. “When I released the new album, I was excited but at the same time worried because I felt burdened for the undeserved love my last album got.”

The singer also said while promoting his latest album, he got to know that why he has to call his fans “fan-nim.” “Nim” is an honorific title in Korean.

“Thanks for ‘fan-nims’ I appeared at the middle of the Times Square in New York. I was really surprised at that. Even though I have never been to Times Square,” he said.

Hwang’s fans commissioned an advertisement for Hwang’s EP “Be Myself” on the 32-story Thomson Reuters Building at the world-famous intersection in New York for a day.
