Actress Lee Se-young opened up about how she developed a dogged spirit that helped her survive as an actress.

“I went to a private institution to study one more year to enter university when I was a student. And I developed my ‘dogged personality’ there, a place that had the same motto,” said Lee during a recent interview for a photo shoot with a local fashion magazine.

“I’ve been acting for 22 years now, but I think talent as an actor is inborn, the reason why I keep making efforts. I still ask for advice to professors when studying my onscreen character or read papers related to it,” she added.

Lee, who began her acting career as a child actress with film “When I Turned Nine,” has recently played the role of a zombie in now-ended drama series “Hwayugi.” And she said she was proud of her
quirky yet unique role.

“To prepare for my role, I’d practiced cracking my joints every day. At times when it was too hard, I’ve cried, but I really have affection toward that role. Many still recognize me as that zombie girl after the drama ended,” she said.

Asked about actors she would like to work with, Lee named Ryu Seung-ryong and Cha Seung-won.
