Singer Hwang Chi-yeul talked about giving vocal lessons to fellow singers in a live broadcast held via Naver’s V app Tuesday.

In the broadcast, singer JeA, who was hosting the show, said that Hwang had previously been the vocal trainer for K-pop girl group Lovelyz, who appeared on the KBS weekly music show “Music Bank.”

“(At that time,) they were not Lovelyz but singer trainees who got lessons (from me),” Hwang said. “I taught them all. It felt awkward to later see them as the official group Lovelyz.”

“We were both competing to win. I wanted them to be successful since they are my students, but unfortunately I won the show,” said Hwang, who competed with his former students on the KBS show. “But I couldn’t help but feel good at winning.”

When asked about his favorite students, he talked about boy band NU’EST.

“I remember struggling when I gave lessons to them seven years ago,” he said. “(Hwang) Min-hyun became a member of Wanna One and the rest are promoting (themselves) as part of NU’EST W. I felt proud when I heard that the tickets for their concerts had sold out as soon as sales opened.”

K-pop rock band N.Flying communicated with fans in a live broadcast held via Naver’s V app Tuesday.

In the broadcast, they played a game in which they had to tell each other “I love you” without bursting into laughter.

The N.Flying bandmates elicited giggles from one another by acting goofy and cute while saying “I love you.”

Cha Hun won the game by keeping a straight face. He received a diet food package as a prize.

N.Flying is scheduled to release its fourth EP “How Are You” on Wednesday.

Singer Kanto of hip-hop quartet Troy communicated with his fans in a live broadcast held via Naver’s V app Tuesday.

In the broadcast, the singer introduced his second EP “Repetition” released on the day. The new album marked the singer’s latest release in one year and eight months.

“I participated in composing the songs, writing the lyrics, and deciding the theme of the music video. Also for the choreography, I included the movements that I’d like to try,” he said. “So I have a lot of affection toward this album.”

“I think I’m in a crucial moment of my life and I think this album will be a good foothold for me to succeed in the future,” he said.

“I am going to perform the songs for the first time tomorrow on ‘Show Champion,’” he said referring to MBC’s weekly music show. “It’s been a while since I performed solo so I feel a bit nervous.”

The singer recently appeared on the KBS idol competition show “The Unit,” which brought together singers who have already debuted professionally but who had failed to gain public recognition. The contestants competed for a spot on two project groups -- girl group UNI.T and UNB.

He finished the show at No. 20, failing to secure a spot in UNB.

Naver’s real-time broadcasting app V allows fans to interact with their favorite K-pop stars through live broadcasts. The app is available for Android and iOS. For more information, visit http://www.vlive.tv.
